Why us
Language expertise on its own produces correct English. Familiarity with publishing on its own produces correct formatting. The work only becomes useful when the two are held together — when the person editing a sentence also knows what the journal will do with it, and what happens to it after that.
That is also why we build the tools we need rather than adapt to whatever exists. The author proofing step runs on a system we wrote for it, because nothing available did the one thing that matters: make every requested correction a decision the editorial office actually takes.
