Privacy and confidentiality
This page explains what we do with the material and the contact details that reach us. In short: we use them to carry out the work and to reply, and for nothing else.
01Manuscripts and unpublished material
Manuscripts, figures, tables and other material supplied to us remain the property of their owner. Unpublished material is seen only by those working on it, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations.
It is not shared with third parties beyond what the work requires, is not used as an example without explicit permission, and is not used to train any system.
Where an agreement with a publisher sets out confidentiality obligations, those obligations govern.
02Contact details you give us
When you write to us or use a form on this website we receive the name, email address, telephone number and message you provide. We use them to answer you and to carry out any work subsequently commissioned.
We do not sell, rent or trade these details, and we do not send marketing that was not asked for.
03Retention
Files and correspondence are kept only as long as the work and any subsequent query about it require. We are not an archive: the authoritative copy of any material should always be the client’s own.
Deletion of files or contact details can be requested at any time by writing to [email protected].
04This website
This site is deliberately plain. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies and embeds no third-party analytics or social media trackers.
As with any website, the server records ordinary technical information about requests, such as the time and the page requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
05Third parties
Where a service cannot be delivered without involving another party, only what is necessary is shared, and only for that purpose.
06Questions and requests
To ask what we hold, to correct it, or to have it removed, write to [email protected].
